PROPOSED NEW BUILDING for POST 135 New Post

Convention in Huntsville

Now that the convention is over we need to settle down and concentrate on the upcoming events for the next few months. In September, we have the Labor Day Carnival at Tuskegee Hospital.  Anothr event for September is an Initiation Ceremony of all new members that have signed up since our last Initiation ceremony. It will be held at the Amphitheater, Phenix City. Tentative date is Saturday, Sept 20.

Veterans Appreciation Day will be held at the Drop Zone in Fort Mitchell,  the last weekend in October, the 31st. More information as it develops.

The Sheriff’s Rodeo will be held at the Horse Arena on 431 South on Nov 8-9. We will have the cooking trailer set up and will be selling a variety of food. This is also Veterans’ Day Parade (second Saturday in November) plus the day for Tuskegee Veterans to visit so we will need all the volunteers we can muster to man all events. This includes Legionnaires, Sons, and Ladies Auxiliary. Become a part of the Legion Family by being a volunteer.
